The Box Soho FAQ, Celebrities, and More

Updated: Aug 6, 2023

The Box Soho is one of the hottest clubs on the London nightlife scene. It’s a mysterious venue shrouded by a steamy aura of notoriety and that’s not an understatement. Some of the steamiest - and weirdest - encounters have been had at that godforsaken, pleasure-filled, bafflingly-erotic Gomorrah.

Just ask anyone who has been there about The Box Soho stories. Some will reply, “What happens in The Box stays in The Box.” Others will take a deep breath and ask, “Did anyone tell you about the sex games?”

Yes, you read this correctly, and don’t worry. This FAQ will tell you everything you need to know.

What is The Box Soho?

This one is difficult to answer. The Box Soho is, technically, a club. However, what goes on inside isn’t what you’d see or do on a usual clubbing night. Yes, there’s music, drinks, and dancing, but they’re not the main attraction.

The people who go to The Box London go to see the shows. So, a more appropriate description for The Box is that it’s a theatre of varieties.

Theatre of Varieties…?

Sounds vague, doesn’t it? The Box Soho makes sure to tell the public as little as possible about what happens inside. A theatre of varieties simply means that the club is mainly a venue that hosts shows and acts. The Box London’s shows might share a theme, but don’t mistake this organisation for predictability.

What are the Shows Like?

The Box shows are the collaborative work of a nightmarish Freudian subconscious and a highly erotic acid trip. More than anything, their aim is to shock the audience, draw them in, and entertain.

You can read more about the shows here, but in a nutshell you've got: limb severing, acts of self-pleasure, fake cocaine bags raining from the ceiling, ripped men, and giant vaginas. The worst part is that no one will believe you if you try to explain what you’ve seen. Phones and cameras aren’t allowed inside.

As for how many shows you'll be watching per night, there are 2 shows, each containing 3 to 4 acts. And, don't forget about the main MC, the legendary singer Kimberly Nichole and her glorious pipes.

Which Nights are the Best?

Every night at The Box Soho is different, but none is better than the other. Quality-wise, the Box shows, and events are always amazing.

So, if you’re planning on table booking at The Box, we’d recommend you pick a night and go. For the most part, it depends on the performers and their acts. So, it really is a subjective opinion.

As for the crowd, because The Box club is selective about who they let in, you won’t feel that much of a difference between one night and the other.

What are The Box Soho Secret Rooms?

The notorious Box Soho Secret Rooms are where you can expect the most decadence. Are they where the sex games take place? Orgies maybe? Do they contain a whole BDSM dungeon? Do they conduct seances there? Where’s the excitement in knowing beforehand, though? Wouldn’t you rather see for yourself?

How Hard is it to Get into The Box Soho?

Very. The Box club Soho is one of the most exclusive nightclubs in London. Not to mention, they are very selective about their guests because they make sure to have an open-minded crowd of London’s elites.

What About the Celebrities Spotted at The Box London?

There have been many celebrity sightings at The Box London over the years. From Kate Moss to the flamboyant and charming Harry Styles. From The Duchess (2008) star herself, Keira Knightly, and Roger Taylor from Queen to the British royals, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie. In other words, many celebrities frequent this venue, so you’ll have quite a fun time playing ‘spot the celebrity’ from your table.

What Can I Expect in A Night at The Box Club?

People say that expectations lead to disappointments. Not when it comes to The Box Soho, though. During your night out, you can expect a daring, steamy adventure, a shocking set of shows, and an interesting crowd.

Before that, however, there are two things you must do.

First, you’ve got to be ready to expand your comfort zone. The more you embrace The Box club vibe, the more fun you’ll have.
