5 Steps for the Best Night Out Clubbing in Mayfair

Updated: Aug 7, 2023

If you plan on going clubbing in Mayfair any time soon, here are 5 things to prepare for ahead of time so you can guarantee the best night out in the best Mayfair clubs without any hassle.

Mayfair nightclubs are where memories happen, where you run into Chris Brown during your night out, and where you party with loads of interesting people from all over the world. Of course, if you want this kind of night in a high-end exclusive club, that means there are certain things you need to keep in mind.

1. Communicate with Your Promoter

The best Mayfair clubs have two options for entry, both can be done through a club promoter - i.e., us. Ladies can join the guestlist which usually includes an entry fee, complimentary drinks, and access to a shared promoter’s table. Guys and mixed groups need to book a table (bottle service) with a minimum spend.

Your club promoter will let you know everything, from the dress code to the best time to arrive. That’s why it’s important to listen to them in the days leading up to the night and during the night.

If you can’t follow any of their or the club’s instructions or requirements, it’s important to let them know beforehand. Ahead of time, they’ll be able to let you know the best possible solution, which will save you time, money, and the disappointment of a cancelled plan.

Last but not least, if you have any questions or are unsure, it’s always better to ask than take a guess. After all, we want you to have the smoothest night possible.

2. You Always Need a Physical ID

Exclusive Mayfair clubs have a strict ID policy, and 99% of the time, there’s simply no way around it. So, to enter the club, you need to bring a physical ID - ideally a passport for international guests. This also means that passport photocopies and digital copies aren’t accepted. So, if you don’t have a physical ID on you, you risk - if not completely ruin - your chances of entering.

3. Don’t Forget the Dress Code

The best Mayfair clubs are considered so because they know how to curate the vibe and create the best parties. Simply put, not following the dress code is like going on a date where you’re dressed to the nines and your date is in their sweatpants.

For most Mayfair clubs, the dress code ranges from smart elegant to dress to impress, and heels are always a must. In addition to your ID, the door will check if you’re following the dress code. Even if you’re on the guestlist, you may not enter if you’re not following the dress code.

4. Be There on Time

When a promoter gives you an arrival time, they do so based on their years of experience and how things are looking throughout the night. If they’re telling you to arrive early, they’re letting you know the best time to arrive for the smoothest entry. That’s why you want to keep your promoter updated on when you’re coming, especially if they’re going to meet you outside.

5. Prepare the Entry Fee

Among many factors, the entry fee usually depends on the door, the night, and the door’s policy. In most Mayfair clubs, it can either be £0, £10, or £20. In some clubs, like on our Tape club guestlist, it’s complimentary. In other clubs, it varies depending on the night.

If you’re planning on going clubbing in Mayfair, it’s good to keep that in mind. Plus, don’t forget that not all clubs take debit/credit cards. While the safest option is carrying the entry fee in cash, you can ask us before you go if paying via card is an option.

As you can see, these five things can make or break your night out clubbing in Mayfair. No need to stress though; if you’re going out with us, we’ll let you know the details so that everything goes as smoothly as can be. All you have to do is let us know when you’d like to join the guestlist or book a table, and we’ll take it from there.
